Position Overview

A well-established, family-oriented construction management and general contracting firm in Northeast Ohio is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team. With more than 60 years in business, a strong regional presence, and a reputation built on reliability, stability, and quality, this company delivers projects across multiple commercial and institutional sectors.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and bid proposals
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documents
• Obtain subcontractor and supplier pricing and evaluate scope coverage
• Analyze bids, perform cost comparisons, and support value engineering efforts
• Assist in developing project budgets, bid packages, and bid strategies
• Maintain and update historical cost data, production rates, and pricing databases
• Collaborate with preconstruction, project management, and leadership teams

• 3 years of estimating experience with a general contractor or CM firm
• Strong understanding of commercial construction methods and materials
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering documents
• Proficiency with estimating and digital take-off software (e.g., Bluebeam, OST, Pro Est, Sage, etc.)
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
