Project Manager - Structural Steel / Misc. Metals

A respected steel fabricator and erector is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead structural steel metals projects from award through completion. This role is ideal for a detail-driven professional who understands steel construction, communicates well with clients and field teams, and delivers projects safely, on time, and on budget.

As a Project Manager, you will oversee planning, scheduling, costs, subcontractors, and field coordination while working closely with clients, engineers, fabrication teams, and installers. Key Responsibilities

• Manage structural steel and miscellaneous metals projects from contract to close-out
• Maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost reports
• Coordinate with field leaders, engineers, detailers, and fabrication shops
• Lead project meetings and maintain client communication
• Review drawings, submittals, RFIs & change orders
• Monitor progress, site logistics, safety, and quality
• Work with vendors & subcontractors and review pricing
• Coordinate material releases and fabrication schedules
• Support project close-out and final documentation

Qualifications

• 3+ years managing structural steel or miscellaneous metals projects
• Strong understanding of steel erection, fabrication, or misc. metals scope
• Ability to read drawings, specifications, and contracts
• Experience with scheduling, cost control & change management
• Strong communication, organization & problem-solving skills
• Proficient with construction and project management software

Preferred

• Experience with commercial or industrial steel projects
• Familiarity with AISC standards
• Background working for a steel fabricator or erector
• Experience coordinating fabrication and installation schedules

Compensation & Benefits

• $95,000 - $115,000 DOE + bonus potential
