The Sr. Software Engineer will work as a member of an agile software development team that is responsible for building and maintaining custom applications for Milwaukee Tool. The Sr. Software Engineer will be a key contributor in agile ceremonies and help facilitate best practices throughout the SSDLC.

• Develop high performing and scalable software solutions and applications using technologies such as .NET, React, SQL, and Microsoft Azure.
• Collaborate as a member of an agile software development team.
• Develop project‑related documents such as technical specifications, process flow diagrams, and communicate effectively to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Ensure work adheres to all security, cloud, compliance, and quality standards.
• Enhance and support existing applications, often troubleshooting problems identified by users.
• Collaborate with fellow developers, architects, and cross‑functional teams to understand enterprise compliance, stakeholder/software requirements and develop solutions with long‑term ownership in mind.
• Demonstrate extreme ownership of your team’s applications and processes.
• Mentor junior developers in both technical ability and interpersonal growth through our cultural traits.

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, management information systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Critical thinking acumen.
• Strong, shared culture values.
• .NET, SQL, React.js, Node, Typescript technical knowledge and experience.
• Infrastructure as Code experience – Terraform / Open Tofu preferred.
• Cloud Experience – Azure preferred.
• Experience with automated testing software such as Test Cafe.
• Object‑oriented and relational database development skills.
• Strong professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience working with agile methodologies.
• Passionate about solving business problems with technology.
• Flexible enough to work through ambiguity and bring clarity in a fast‑paced environment where there is constant change.
• Organized and self‑directed.
• Experience and understanding of processes in manufacturing and quality is recommended.
