Overview

The ideal candidate is a competitive self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced environment. The Inside Sales Representative position has multiple responsibilities. This position will maintain current customer sales activities as well as initiate prospecting activities to identify new customers, provide quote assistance and follow-up on prospective new customer activities. While the intent of this role is largely a proactive outbound calling role, this person will also field inbound inquiries and requests from customers.

Outbound contacts will be strategically focused on revenue growth and customer retention, specific outbound call initiatives/campaigns may vary to include (but not limited to) lead generation, account penetration, product penetration, introduction of new product/capability offerings and relationship building.

Additionally, this position will assist in a number of sales activities including performing certain functions supporting our quoting and customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Proactive Outbound Lead Generation, Prospecting Activities and General Sales Support
  • Promote sales with current existing customers
  • Follow up with customers on status of orders
  • Conduct outbound calls to prospective customers
  • Identify and close new and incremental sales opportunities
  • Identify at-risk customers
  • Identify win back opportunities
  • Relationship building
  • Create brand awareness
  • Track ALL activity in the Net Suite including Customer Contacts/Communications, Notes/History, Quotes, etc.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required
  • Associate or Bachelor Degree is highly desired
  • At least 2-4 years of proven inside sales experience required
  • 2-3 years of experience in an administrative or sales support role
  • Experience in material handling is a strong plus
Skills and Ability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven capability to interface with current and prospective customers
  • Ability to type a minimum of 40 WPM
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience working with a CRM database solution with aptitude to learn new technology-related tools
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team focus
  • Exposure or working knowledge of Net Suite
