Director of Quality

The Quality Director will be responsible for designing and implementing plant wide quality systems, as well as coordinating all QMS activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
:

• Responsible for all Quality systems and procedures.
• Monitor and report on quality systems and ISO activities.
• Responsible for assuring systems affecting product quality are followed.
• Manage and delegate appropriate QMS/EMS/LMS management system activities within/between departments.
• Primary functions include APQP, inspection, testing, MSA activities, nonconformance, and corrective/preventative actions as outlined in the manuals.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Manage and direct regulatory and internal audits at the facilities to ensure compliance.
  
  Ensure that appropriate documentation is maintained and recommend revisions or actions necessary to achieve or exceed compliance.
• Work with R&D to review and approve all incoming raw materials to make others aware of any impacts or special conditions they may have on our programs or if they will cause any environmental impact or require permits.

Qualifications/Skills/Experience Required
:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Quality/Management or related field.
• Minimum 8 years quality related experience, 2 years ISO experience, and 5 years supervisory experience.
• Project management ability.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Design/MSA skills as outlined in the ISO reference manuals (7 pack).
• APQP and/or other appropriate skills as defined in ISO manuals
• Working knowledge and experience of ISO 9001 & IATF Quality Management Systems
