Reich Tool & Design, a Menomonee Falls based, family-owned and operated Tool and Die manufacturer for 60 years is looking for an experienced Tool & Die Maker who also has CNC experience to work in its Tool & Die Department on Second Shift
. The qualified candidate would report to the Tool & Die Supervisor.

Under the direction of the Toolmaker Supervisor, the Toolmaker is responsible for the coordination of projects on the shop floor; to build or repair most types and sizes of metal stamping dies, prototypes, jigs and fixtures including development, tryout and debug of tools and dies. Duties as a CNC Machinist would include planning, programming and performing difficult machine set-ups and operations as needed to supplement Tool & Die work.

This is an in-person, Second Shift position with flexibility to work 8 or 10 hour shifts four or five days a week. Expected hours are 40 per week with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Study, plan and coordinate projects with general supervision.
  • Work with CNC, Wire, Waterjet and Inspection to coordinate workflow.
  • Ability to provide solutions during jobs kick-offs and leadership on jobs.
  • Capable of reviewing job details (before and during) to prevent errors; good decision maker; must frequently improvise.
  • Coordinate and run multiple jobs.
  • Ability to run all tool room machines.
  • Ability to program, setup and run all CNC machines ithin the Tool 7 Die department.
  • Strong performance in processing materials through the department, considering departmental workloads.
  • Coordinate subcontracting and heat treating.
  • Assume responsibility for dimensional accuracy and quality workmanship.
  • Ability to develop blanks to print with general supervision.
  • Strong assembly skills; set-up and run tryout presses and feed lines.
  • Lead and teach support personnel in the tool & die department.
  • Perform inspection on first piece, in process, purchased part and finished material and products, ensuring conformance to specifications.
  • Re-route product for rework.
  • Update design changes on CAD and submit to design department.
  • Update all required paperwork and documentation.
  • Participate in self-directed work teams to address and resolve quality problems and to ensure the continuous, on-going improvement of processes and methods.
  • Assist in development and implementation of procedures and controls to promote efficient lean operations of the organization and ensure the groups follow those procedures and controls.
  • Able to work overtime when requested to meet the needs of customer timelines.
  • Comply with all quality, safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Support the company's quality policy, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, 5S practices, LEAN and world class manufacturing initiatives.
  • Commits to the corporate goals, mission, and vision.
  • Regular physical attendance is required.
  • Travel, as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications Necessary:

  • High school education or GED.
  • Knowledge of metallurgy, GD & T, metrology and ability to read blueprints.
  • Minimum 5-year apprenticeship and five years of practical experience.
  • Ability to build metal stamping dies, fixtures and prototypes.
  • Prior project management type experience in leading jobs demonstrating leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of industry software CAD/CAM.
  • Intermediate use of Microsoft software and computers in general.

Preferred Requirements/

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with automotive, aerospace and medical industries.
  • Prior machining or CNC operation a plus along with a Journey card.
  • Prior manufacturing experience in a job shop.

Post offer drug screen and background check required.
