Overview
The Wisconsin Country Club is currently looking for a Maintenance Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. As the Maintenance Manager
, you will manage a comprehensive facilities maintenance and upkeep program to maintain the quality of the facility in accordance with sound engineering practices. More specifically, some of your essential duties and responsibilities will include:
- Along with the Maintenance Director, coordinating service calls, facilitating repairs, alter and install work according to developed or pre-set guidelines.
- Troubleshooting malfunctions and responding to service calls.
- Hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and motivating employees.
- Assisting in the planning and implementing of preventative maintenance programs.
- Ensuring facility and employee compliance with OSHA, and assist Human Resources Director with safety programs and training.
- Assist in procuring bids and contracts required for all improvements at the request of the General Manager.
- Maintaining and monitoring fire, phone, data and security, computer networks, music, cable, and TV systems for the facility.
- Conducting daily facilities walkabouts and specific site inspections on an as-needed basis.
- Preparing all necessary reports required by the city and county concerning safety, health, and fire and providing for the timely renewal of all permits and licenses.
- Maintaining the daily work order CMMS, including personally handling the work order and/or working with staff to complete it.
- Supervise maintenance technicians and painters.
- Completing all other related duties as assigned.
A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience working as an Engineer, Maintenance Professional, or a related position in a consumer-focused facility
, such as a hotel or resort, a hospital, a college campus, retail, or equivalent. In addition, you will need a two-year degree in a related field with continuing education in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, plumbing, or a related field
. Swimming pool operator certification would be considered an asset.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
As our ideal candidate, you are mechanically inclined with all-around knowledge of mechanical systems, plumbing, electrical and refrigeration. You must have previous supervisory experience, and a demonstrated ability to manage multi-discipline projects and assist in coordinating a team's corresponding efforts. In addition, you have the hands-on capabilities required for repairs. Moreover, show the ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions and are skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
