Public Works Summer

Job Summary

This job offers the opportunity to be part of the Department of Public Works team that maintains the parks, streets and set‑up for special events.

Various assignments throughout the Village's Streets & Parks Department including:

• General park maintenance
• Restroom cleaning
• Pavement marking
• Catch basin cleaning
• Building and grounds maintenance
• Barricade set‑up and removal
• Parts organization
• Mowing, trimming and brush cutting
• Flower bed maintenance
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, and the public.
• Must be reliable and able to work independently.
• Other duties as assigned.

• A valid Wisconsin Driver's License and good driving record
• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Must be reliable and able to work independently
• Should be available to work approximately 40 hours per week during the summer months.
• Wisconsin ATV/UTV Certification or ability to obtain within 2 weeks of hire. The Village will assist with obtaining this certification.

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push/pull, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Position requires the ability to work outside and includes exposure to changing weather conditions.
