* Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
*
* * Manages scheduling and payroll functions, hiring and other human resource and other administration functions of the department.
* Responsible for tracking, administering, and compliance with MMT’s Preventative Maintenance Program
* Coordinates vehicle repair and logistics with crews and management; coordinates and approves parts and internal/external service orders.
* Maintains parts, requests and orders parts.
* Participates in technician recruitment and selection process
* Performs administrative duties as required
* Diagnoses, rebuilds, and repairs vehicles and equipment.
* Performs inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
* Prepares and maintains records and reports.
* Leads Fleet personnel in their duties
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibrations.
* The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions.
* Noise level in the work environment can be loud.
* This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
* The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
* 5 years technical experience
* Leadership Experience
* Valid driver’s license and good driving record
* Self-confidence, emotional stability, good judgment, and tolerance for high stress
* Possess good verbal communication skills .
* Knowledge of diagnostic procedures and equipment, fleet maintenance management systems, and telematics systems.
* Working competencies with MS Office programs.
* Prior ambulance or emergency vehicle and equipment knowledge and understanding of various state requirements
* ASE or manufacturer’s Certification preferred
* Proficiency in light diesel and gas truck engines preferred.
