Job Summary

Full‑time | Monday‑Friday | 6:30 am‑3:00 pm, or until completion.

The Warehouse Maintenance and Cleaning Associate is essential to our operations, ensuring a safe, efficient, and organized environment for all team members. Responsibilities include routine building and equipment maintenance, as well as cleaning tasks throughout warehouse areas.

Job Description And Duties
  • Utilize a forklift to move product, skids, and equipment as needed.
  • Complete walk‑through of facility to review warehouse condition and provide ongoing feedback to management.
  • Respond quickly to cleaning situations such as spills or tipped over product.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain toilets, sinks, small appliances and equipment, and perform routine electrical repairs.
  • Build rapport with team members and promote cleanliness and organizational goals.
  • Ensure facility and office tools and resources are available for cleaning and organization tasks.
  • Address tipped pallets in warehouse racking.
  • Keep aisles clean of debris and obstacles that hinder equipment traffic.
  • Operate floor scrubbing machine.
  • Aid in collecting and/or repairing damaged product.
  • Ensure excess shrink wrap is cut from pallets and product is stored neatly.
  • Routinely sweep, mop, dust, sanitize, and empty trash cans in various work areas.
  • Manage area dedicated to storing damaged pallets.
  • Maintain warehouse equipment in good condition by wiping down, dusting, and painting.
  • Perform grounds maintenance tasks such as landscaping, cleaning debris from exterior dock areas, washing and drying windows, and snow blowing and salting.
  • Serve as point of contact with contractors, acting as a liaison between contractors and management.
Qualifications
  • Warehouse, forklift, and cleaning experience is a plus.
  • Proficient operation of powered industrial trucks, including RCs, SCs, SPs, floor scrubbers, and scissor lifts.
  • Experience using hand tools.
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or trade school preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance practices.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Basic computer skills for work orders and maintenance logs (Microsoft Office products and email).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be dependable and reliable.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions (e.g., heat/cold; noise and dust).
  • Able to work at elevations up to 30’.
Preferred Skills
  • Electrical or plumbing certifications.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards.
  • Customer‑service‑oriented mindset.
