Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee all accounting and purchasing operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. The ideal candidate will possess strong cost accounting skills, ensure compliance with accounting standards, drive process improvements, and provide financial insights to support decision‑making. The position reports directly to the President and will lead a team of three direct reports. This role requires strong leadership, technical accounting expertise, and the ability to manage financial risks effectively.

- Manage and oversee all aspects of financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting and purchasing team.
- Manage month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing processes.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Conduct financial analysis to support business strategies and decisions.
- Implement and maintain ERP systems to streamline financial processes and ensure accurate data management.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Develop and maintain cost accounting systems to analyze and control production costs.
- Coordinate audits (internal & external) and implement recommendations.
- Maintain and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor budget variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Support cash flow management and financial planning initiatives.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Oversee accounting systems and software, ensuring accuracy and optimization.
- Collaborate with IT and finance teams to integrate new technologies.
- Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Perform all job duties following a lean mindset and according to all safety policies.
- Special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in an accounting/finance role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 2 years of management experience.
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, accounting principles, and financial software (e.g., SAP, Quick Books, or similar).
- Strong leadership values.

- Strong decision‑making and organizational skills.
