About the RoleAs a Safety Specialist, you will play a critical role in creating and maintaining a safe work environment for cutting‑edge construction projects. You’ll design and implement comprehensive safety programs that meet OSHA, FDA, and pharmaceutical industry standards, ensuring compliance and protecting our workforce. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high‑profile projects and collaborate with industry‑leading professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop & implement safety programs: create site‑specific safety plans aligned with OSHA, FDA, and pharmaceutical standards.
- Risk assessment: identify hazards related to chemical handling, cleanroom construction, and specialized equipment installation.
- Compliance monitoring: ensure contractors and subcontractors follow safety protocols, PPE requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Site inspections: conduct regular audits of construction areas to identify unsafe practices or environmental risks.
- Incident investigation: lead root‑cause analyses for accidents, near‑misses, and violations; recommend corrective actions.
- Training & education: deliver engaging safety training on hazardous materials, confined spaces, and emergency response.
- Documentation management: maintain accurate records of audits, permits, incident reports, and compliance certifications.
- Collaboration:
work closely with engineers, project managers, and QA teams to integrate safety into all phases of construction.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA compliance and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in project management, electrical systems, and commercial construction.
- Ability to forecast and manage financials related to safety measures.
- OSHA 30 certification required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Health, or related field.
- 0–2 years of experience as a Safety Specialist in construction.
- Experience with commercial construction and estimation is a plus.
- Initial training and onboarding in Menomonee Falls, WI for the first month.
- Transition to Microsoft Data Center in Mt. Pleasant, WI for on‑site safety oversight.
- Collaborative environment with construction teams on high‑tech projects.
This is a permanent position based out of Menomonee Falls, WI.
Pay And BenefitsPay range: $85,000.00 – $ per year.
