Data Engineer, Data Analyst

We are hiring on behalf of one of our clients, a prestigious technology organization seeking a Software Engineer II to join their Safe Ads Experiences team. The team is building a next-generation data collection platform designed to enhance large-scale data collection, targeted sampling, and rater assistance systems that support responsible advertising.
This role offers the opportunity to directly impact advertising user experiences, data privacy safeguards, and public trust through data-driven engineering solutions.
Responsibilities- Drive technical implementation and testing of complex data pipeline features, ensuring robust end-to-end functionality and alignment with release timelines
- Design and develop scalable data processing pipelines using SQL and Python for large-scale data collection, transformation, and quality monitoring
- Build and maintain dashboards and visualization tools that provide visibility into data quality, rater performance, and key platform metrics
- Develop comprehensive end-to-end tests and monitoring alerts to ensure platform reliability and data integrity
- Debug and troubleshoot complex data flow issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions
- Collaborate with technical leads and engineering teams to implement backend processing logic aligned with best practices
- Partner with Product Data Operations teams to coordinate human labeling workflows, vendor management, and budget tracking
- Work closely with taxonomists and data labeling analysts to ensure proper classification standards and quality assurance processes
- Support smart sampling and targeted data collection strategies that improve efficiency and data quality
- Coordinate with vendor partners to ensure seamless integration of external data collection workflows
- Strong experience writing complex SQL queries and performing data transformations in production environments
- Proficiency in Python for data processing, automation, and pipeline development using object-oriented programming principles
- Experience building and maintaining scalable ETL pipelines and data models
- Hands‑on experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or similar platforms
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with experience debugging complex data systems
- Experience implementing data quality monitoring and automated testing frameworks
- Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with machine learning concepts, including training data requirements and feature engineering
- Experience building and scaling large production systems
- Exposure to privacy‑focused or advertising‑related products
- Experience working with human labeling systems, workflow design, quality assurance, and vendor coordination
- Familiarity with large-scale internal tooling environments is a plus
- Full-time, structured role
