* Working with external partners, R&D, QA, manufacturing, and supply chain to meet production targets and drive timely execution of engineering projects
* Designing and executing statistical analyses, such as Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC), to identify the physical failure mechanism and improve yield and quality
* Designing and performing Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Process Capability Analysis, Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility (GR&R)
* Developing and preparing clear and concise documentation including SOP, travelers, batch records, ECOs, NCRs et al
* Mentoring junior engineers and providing guidance as needed

Required Qualifications:

* Typically requires 9-12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or a minimum of 7-10 years with a Master’s degree; or a minimum of 6-9 years with a PhD.
* A degree in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biophysical Sciences, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent required
* Proven ability to establish and maintain close and effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors
* Experience with photonic chip metrology and proficiency in an electro-optical laboratory environment
* Significant proficiency with JMP, MATLAB, SQL, Perl, or Python
