Summer Seasonal, Camp Counselor
Overview
Each year we employ hundreds of Seasonal Staff to serve thousands of campers and our Directors and Assistant Directors are an integral part of this success. Each Camp Leadership Team is responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, high quality and efficient programs. They also provide mentorship and training to our Seasonal Instructors and are responsible for creating a positive, inclusive, and memorable work environment.

Work Schedule
:
Sunday - Friday, with frequent trips and overnight stays in the field with our program groups.Position Duration
:
In person Camp Leadership training takes place May 1 - 3. Additional pre-season training takes place in Colorado May 23 - June
3. Transportation to and from required trainings + accommodations provided! Programs Run June 13 - August 1.Compensation
:
Pay is determined based on position, additional responsibilities, relevant certifications, and staff tenure. Starting hourly are below:Program Coordinator: $1352/week
Additional bonuses for advanced certifications: $125 - $400 per certification
Must meet American Camp Association minimum age requirements, i.e., must be 25 years or older by the start of camp season
All Camp Leadership must qualify to drive camp vehicles, i.e., be 21 years or older by the start of camp with a valid driver’s license
Must have demonstrated expertise in at least one of our core sports (paddling, hiking, climbing, mountain biking)
Expeditions Leadership must possess a Wilderness First Responder (or EMT) and CPR certification by the start of camp

You can seamlessly move between a multitude of responsibilities; from nailing down your camp's logistics to leading engaging staff meetings to approaching parent conversations with empathy.
You are equally comfortable out in the field leading programs and supporting campers and staff as you are behind a laptop completing administrative duties with attention to detail and precision.
You can speak to multiple audiences with ease, foster meaningful relationships, and inspire everyone around you with our mission.
You successfully develop and empower your instructors while working with them side by side, being present in the moment, and leaving the weight of work challenges behind you at the end of your day.
