Menlo Park is a General Law city operating under the Council-Manager form of government. The municipal government is organized into six operating departments, including Administrative Services, City Manager's Office, Community Development, Library and Community Services, Police, and Public Works.

The City of Menlo Park is hiring Recreation Specialists to support City-operated Summer Camp programs serving children ages 4.5 through 13 years old for programs running June 15th through August 14th, 2026.
Under general supervision, Recreation Specialists provide direct supervision of participants and assist with age‑appropriate recreational, enrichment, and physical activities in compliance with California Community Care Licensing (Title 22) requirements and City policies. This position requires active engagement with children, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to maintain required staff‑to‑child ratios.
This is an hourly, at‑will, part‑time (non‑benefited) position offering paid training and valuable experience in youth development and public service.
Schedule- Part to Full‑day summer camp shifts
- Up to 8.5 hours per day, including a 30‑minute unpaid meal period
