Jefunira Camp has been serving Bay Area families since 1991, offering a play-based camp experience for children of all ages. Known for its outdoor, unplugged activities, the camp creates a fun, imaginative, and collaborative environment. Led by experienced, talented, and creative counselors, the program aims to foster participation, self-esteem, and self-confidence. Jefunira Camp provides children with engaging activities and games that encourage personal growth and memorable experiences.

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Menlo Park, CA for a Summer Camp Counselor. The Camp Counselor will supervise and engage with campers, lead a variety of activities and games, and ensure a positive, safe, and inclusive camp environment. The role requires effectively fostering collaboration among campers, supporting their growth, and maintaining their safety while participating in outdoor activities.

Teamwork and communication with fellow counselors are essential to create a meaningful camp experience for all.

• Experience working with children in camp or educational settings
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with campers, colleagues, and parents
• Training or certification in lifeguarding or a willingness to obtain such certification
• Ability to foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging atmosphere
• Strong organizational and leadership skills to manage group activities
• Passion for the outdoors, play-based learning, and working with children
