Meta designs, builds, leases, and operates the most leading-edge and efficient data centers in the world. Meta is seeking an experienced, efficient Operations Specialist to join our Data Center Community & Economic Development Team. In this role, you will:
Manage financial tracking, budget management, and contract administration for Community & Economic Development initiatives. Work closely with both internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure successful completion of projects and processes.
- Collaborate with Community & Economic Development team members to create purchase orders (POs), manage vendors, submit contracts, and support various procurement functions
- Lead quarterly review meetings with cross-functional finance and planning teams, facilitating effective discussions and alignment
- Utilize internal systems to track and report on short- and long-term financial planning goals, as well as actual expenditures
- Partner with the Central Operations team to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting for cross-functional requirements
- Advise and consult with internal stakeholders on purchasing needs, providing guidance and troubleshooting support for procurement-related questions and issues
- Process purchase requisitions efficiently to minimize holds and improve payment cycles from initiation through completion
- Organize and manage payment processes, communicating proactively with internal and external partners to ensure timely payment closure
- Guide others through procurement processes identifying, developing, and implementing best practices in procurement, category management, and supplier management
- Build and maintain relationships with key internal business partners to share best practices, understand business needs, and make an impact by solving novel, complex problems
- Serve as a liaison between Meta and local partners
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation for all operational procurement processes
- Support special projects and perform additional duties as assigned
- Develop and deliver presentations to communicate Community Development budget requirements to finance partners
- 4+ years of experience in Procurement Operations and/or Source-to-Pay processes
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field
- Proven experience in planning, sourcing, and supplier management
- Experience in financial modeling utilizing Excel and Google
- Experience making sound administrative and procedural decisions
- Experience developing and implementing funding strategies to support programmatic initiatives
- Demonstrates experience drafting clear and concise communications to build relationships across a broad range of perspectives, experience and backgrounds
- Demonstrated experience in optimizing supply chain operations and enhancing supplier performance processes
- Proficiency in utilizing forecasting and budgeting tools, as well as developing comprehensive planning documents
- Familiarity with Meta’s platforms and internal procedures, particularly as they pertain to supplier management and procurement workflows
- Effective communication skills to impactfully present to leadership and collaborate effectively with cross-functional and varied teams
