Allure of Mendota is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our Nursing Services department. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the highest standards of clinical quality, regulatory compliance, and resident-centered care.

The Director of Nursing is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operations of the Nursing Services department in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and standards.

The DON ensures the delivery of high-quality care while promoting a culture of accountability, teamwork, and compassion.

• Oversee all Nursing Services operations to ensure quality resident care

• Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations

• Develop, implement, and interpret nursing department policies and procedures

• Monitor clinical outcomes and implement performance improvement initiatives

• Participate in fiscal operations including budgeting and expenditure authorization

• Assist with planning and financial coordination related to nursing services

• Utilize data analysis to support planning and risk management

• Recruit, hire, train, evaluate, and supervise nursing staff

• Provide mentorship and leadership to RNs, LPNs, and CNAs

• Coordinate communication between medical staff and department leaders

• Foster teamwork and a positive work environment

Registered Nurse (RN) with current Illinois licensure
Two to four years of related leadership experience (skilled nursing preferred)
CPR certification (upon hire or obtained during orientation)
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Knowledge of long-term care regulations and quality measures

• 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday

• On-call rotation as required
