Position OverviewReporting to the Clinical Intake Manager, the Intake Supervisor is responsible for the management of Intake Team Leads and Coordinators. Ensures appropriate staffing for 24/7 coverage in department, including weekends and holidays. Assists with the referral-to-admission process to ensure timely evaluations are scheduled, and all necessary documentation is in the patient’s chart. In addition, participates in hiring, training, scheduling and evaluating Intake Leads and Coordinators.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions and Skills
- Oversees Intake Team Leads and Intake Coordinators to ensure 100% of referrals received are entered timely and accurately.
- Works with clinical and business development teams to achieve and maintain an 80% or higher conversion rate.
- Assists Intake Clinical Manager in recruitment, hiring, training, staffing, performance, development, and retention of Intake Team Leads and Coordinators.
- Assists Intake Clinical Manager with managing staffing to ensure 24/7 coverage including weekends, evenings and holidays.
- Assists with referral management including scheduling evaluations to ensure timeliness to the patient’s bedside.
- Assists Intake Clinical Manager with conflict and complaint management resolution.
- Ensure fair treatment of all employees and cultivate positive working environment.
- Addresses and resolves any barriers to admission.
- Accountable for compliance with all HIPAA, CMS, CHAP and CAHPS regulations and standards.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Responsible for maintaining compliance with all HIPAA regulations and requirements. Treats all patient information as confidential and utilizes protected health information on a minimum necessary basis.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong computer skills including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects with minimal supervision.
- EMR and Home Care Home Base experience preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to pass DHS background study.
- Proficient in the English language. Able to read, speak, and write English in a clear and concise manner required.
- High school diploma or GED required, Associate Degree in Business Office Administration or related field preferred.
- Three (3) + years’ experience in healthcare setting and understanding of medical terminology.
- Ability to pass DHS background study.

The salary range for this role is $68,000-$73,000/annually. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: geographic location, relevant education, applicable certifications, depth of experience, and special skillsets. The total compensation package for this position may also include the opportunity to participate in employee benefits including our medical/dental/vision/pet insurance, disability and life insurance, paid time off, and 401(k) retirement plans, subject to applicable plan terms, and/or eligibility for other compensation.
