Responsibilities- Work on a variety of projects related to Data Centers, including new builds, retrofits, and colocations.
- Perform various aspects of structural engineering assignments, including analysis, modeling, calculations, and material take‑offs.
- Contribute to capital projects, liaise with internal professionals, and coordinate designs with both domestic and international Jacobs offices.
- Grow technically and professionally, expanding leadership responsibilities within the organization.
- Performing a variety of analysis.
- Creating computer models for structures.
- Performing calculations for member designs and foundations, material take‑offs for estimating, preparation of miscellaneous calculations, and assisting with schedules.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 8 or more years of professional experience in structural engineering.
- Registered Professional Engineer with the ability to become registered in additional states.
- Knowledge of CAD software such as Auto Cad, Revit, Micro Station and S3D.
- Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD.
- Knowledge and application of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AIST Technical Report 13, and other industry‑relevant design codes and standards.
- Knowledge and application of Building Codes.
- Proficiency with MS Office suite, including MS Teams for remote coordination.
- Ability to travel to various client sites (approx. 10% to 20% travel).
- Master of Science in Engineering.
- Experience with industrial metals projects, including casting and rolling operations or similar heavy industrial projects.
- Ability to lead teams to deliver commitments on schedule and on budget while meeting quality and client expectations.
