Responsibilities
- Coordinate documentation required by US Customs and Government Agencies for entry of goods into the US on behalf of importers.
- Provide impeccable customer service.
- Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release from databases, SOPs, tariff books, internet, or customs.
- Enter and process various import‑related documentation for submission to US Customs and handle all participating Government Agencies (PGAs).
- Maintain and keep current all shipment documentation in compliance with record‑keeping requirements.
- Adhere to all international importing and exporting regulations.
- Work closely with internal staff, departments, Fed Ex operations, and customers to deliver a high level of service.
- Process agency brokerage shipments and may handle remote filings.
- Ensure all government and organizational policies are followed.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Paid training provided.
- Handle a high volume of time‑sensitive work independently with minimal supervision.
- HS Diploma or GED required. No industry experience required. Minimum of 6 months work experience preferred.
- Data entry/keyboard experience required. Working knowledge of MS Office and email applications such as Outlook using multiple screens and windows.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work with high volume, time‑sensitive work, and independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to use multiple systems and reference materials.
- Interact with customers, carriers, brokers, government agencies, internal staff, management of all levels, and internal departments.
- Computer and ten‑key skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Time management.
Pay Transparency:
This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. Actual starting pay will be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job‑related factors permitted by law. Employees may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential.

Pay: 12.71 - 20.11 USD hourly
