Aboutthe Spotter Driver Position:
As a Spotter Driver you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trailers at the branch. Your primary duties will include maneuvering and positioning trailers around the yard, pulling trailers in and out of the shop, and assisting with the daily operations of the branch. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of trailer systems, experience in navigating tight spaces with 53’ trailers, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities- Safely maneuver and position trailers around the yard
- Pull trailers in and out of the shop as needed to support the Maintenance department
- Maintain organization of the trailers in the yard
- Collaborate with both Operations and Maintenance departments to support efficiency of branch operations
- Retrieve trailers from customers on occasion
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop and work areas
- Keep updated on industry standards
- Ensure a safe work environment
- Current and valid driver’s license required
- Experience operating and moving trailers safely and efficiently
- Aptitude for mechanical skills
- Attention to detail
- Organizational skills
- Safety awareness
- CDL preferred
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience in the trailer/transportation industry preferred
