Position: Memphis East High School is looking for a head football coach
Overview
Memphis East T-Stem Academy is seeking a Head Football Coach. Memphis East T-Stem Academy is a leading educational institution dedicated to integrating STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) principles with a comprehensive athletic program. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, a commitment to student development, and a proven track record of success in coaching football at the high school level. As the Head Football Coach, you will be responsible for building and maintaining a competitive team, fostering a positive team culture, and promoting the academic and athletic success of their student-athletes.
Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development.Develop and implement a comprehensive football program aligned with the academy’s mission and values.Train and mentor student-athletes, emphasizing teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.Create and execute practice schedules, game plans, and training programs to enhance team performance.Administrative Duties
Manage all aspects of the football program, including budgeting, scheduling, and equipment maintenance.Ensure compliance with all school policies, state athletic regulations, and league requirements.Coordinate with academic staff to monitor and support the academic progress of student-athletes.Community EngagementFoster positive relationships with parents, alumni, and the local community to support the football program.Organize and participate in community service initiatives and school events related to athletics.Continuous ImprovementStay current with the latest coaching techniques, strategies, and trends in high school football.Attend coaching clinics, workshops, and conferences to enhance professional development.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).Valid coaching certification as required by the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA).Minimum of 5 years of coaching experience at the high school level.Application Materials
