Overview
The Installer will be responsible for site prep work, simple carpentry work, as well as the installation of all GDI product lines. The Installer may assist with the training, planning, assigning, and directing of work for the Apprentice in accordance with GDI’s policies and installation practices.
PAYING $17 to $22 HOURLY with OVERTIME & BENEFITS
The Installer will be responsible for site prep work, simple carpentry work, as well as the installation of all GDI product lines. The Installer may assist with the training, planning, assigning, and directing of work for the Apprentice in accordance with GDI’s policies and installation practices.
Advancement to Installer may be offered as openings are available due to branch need. This will also be determined by a number of factors such as overall job knowledge, skill level, quality of performance, adherence to all company policies and procedures, safety, and attendance.
Responsibilities
As a representative of the company the Installer is responsible for the behavior and performance of the crew, and will be evaluated on customer feedback include online reviews.Review work jacket with supervisorReview and confirm accuracy of breakout in accordance with customer contractPerform site prep which includes any work needed to modify the existing structure.Carpentry work can include deck modifications, dormer installation, overhang cutoffs, wood knee wall builds, wall alterations, floor and ridge plates, and finish carpentry work.Simple and complex decksDemolitionLayout and cut all materials to install the jobMaintains a clean, organized, and safe work siteInstall All View, Comfort View, and Solarium productsAbility to complete basic carpentry duties such as dormer attachment, fascia removal, standard fascia attachment, etc. Able to build simple decks as well as demolition of old rooms.Performs service workCollect necessary stage payments from customer when applicableMay be responsible for set up, take down, and repair of displays used for various outside marketing eventsOther duties may be assignedQualifications
The Installer must complete the Apprentice Development Program and have a minimum of 3-6 months of in the field training prior to promotion.
