OSP construction contractors

Oteka Technologies is seeking experienced OSP construction and fiber splicing subcontractors for a large-scale aerial, underground, and transport fiber project in the Memphis, TN region.

We are expanding capacity and looking for qualified crews capable of performing construction, fiber placement, and fusion splicing in accordance with project specifications and client standards.

• Strand placement and transfers
• Fiber lashing and overlash
• Aerial hardware installation
• Aerial closure installation and bonding

• Directional drilling and bore operations
• Conduit placement and fiber pulling
• Handhole and vault installation
• Restoration and cleanup

• Fusion splicing of single and ribbon fiber
• Reading splice assignment sheets and construction prints
• Proper fiber organization and tray management
• Installation of transport and distribution closures
• Grounding and bonding of armored cable and closures
• OTDR testing and power meter readings
• Complete photo documentation and closeout reporting

• Must be fully insured and able to provide Certificate of Insurance (COI)
• Must provide own work trucks, equipment, and tools
• Splicing crews must provide fusion splicer, cleaver, heat oven, and testing equipment (OTDR preferred)
• Experience with transport and feeder fiber builds preferred
• Experience working to RUS, CNS, or major ISP standards preferred
• Ability to read and execute construction prints
• Daily production reporting and cloud-based documentation required
• Commitment to safe work practices and professional job site conduct
