Position: Ironworker
Location: Memphis, Tennessee, United States
Pay: $28-$32 per hour (DOE)
Hours: 45-55 hours per week, with some Saturdays
Job Overview:
We are seeking skilled and dependable Ironworkers to join our team in the Memphis area. In this role, you will be responsible for erecting structural steel, assembling metal buildings, and installing precast components on commercial and industrial projects. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, experienced with rigging and steel erection, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment. Responsibilities:
- Perform iron working tasks such as erecting structural steel, installing precast panels, and assembling metal buildings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for layout and installation.
- Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, and fabricate metal components.
- Operate cranes, hoists, and related equipment to lift and position steel components.
- Install rigging and hoisting systems to support safe lifting operations.
- Follow all OSHA safety standards and site-specific safety protocols.
- Work closely with construction crews to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
- Proven experience as an Ironworker.
- Proficiency in steel erection, metal building assembly, and rigging operations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong understanding of steel construction methods, materials, and safety practices.
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
- OSHA 10 certification or higher required.
- Competitive hourly wage: $28-$32 per hour (DOE)
