Fire Alarm Technician

We are seeking an experienced Lead Fire Alarm Technician to support commercial fire alarm installation projects. This is a hands‑on role for someone who can work independently, interpret plans, and lead installations from start to finish.

• Install and manage MC and fire alarm cable
  , including loops and circuits.
• Mount and install panels, strobes, pull stations, speakers
  , and associated devices.
• Work with both conventional and addressable fire alarm systems
  .
• Read and interpret blueprints, risers, and wiring diagrams without supervision.
• Perform conduit installation as needed.
• Collaborate with project teams to complete commercial jobs on time.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used.
• Ensure all installations meet local and national codes.
• Provide excellent customer service on active job sites.

• 1-3 years of fire alarm installation experience (conventional + addressable).
• Strong commercial installation experience (schools, offices, manufacturing, government sites).
• Ability to install, terminate, and route fire alarm cable without oversight.
• Ability to read prints and install circuits/loops independently.
• Comfortable working alone with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Fire alarm programming experience (bonus, not required).
• Lift certifications (scissor/boom lift).

• Solid understanding of commercial fire alarm installation standards.
• Ability to work safely on ladders and lifts.
• Strong work ethic and ability to manage own workload.
• Reliable transportation.

Contract position based out of Memphis, TN.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 – $35.00/hr.
