Refrigerator Repair Technician

• Analyzes, troubleshoots, installs, rebuilds, adjusts, and replaces commercial refrigeration equipment.
• Performs major and/or minor repairs, as well preventative and corrective maintenance of equipment.
• Inspects and verifies the operation and safety of commercial equipment.
• Gathers and analyzes equipment failure information, researches manufacturers’ manuals for technical guidance, and makes decisions for the most efficient methods of carrying out requested repairs.
• Maintains equipment, tools and vehicles as issued.
• Keeps equipment and tools inventory records.
• Interprets mechanical system prints and wiring schematics related to commercial equipment.
• Responsible for coordinating and prioritizing work orders and assignments in a timely manner to reduce downtime.
• Calibrates control components on all commercial equipment to ensure peak operations efficiency.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.

Graduation from high school or GED equivalency, plus four (4) years of education and/or experience in refrigeration repair or preventive maintenance and refrigeration training at a technical school or program.

Requires a valid state driver’s license and EPA certification.

Proof Of Education, Training, And/Or Experience Is Required.

• Bachelor’s Degree = 4 years plus required years of experience.

• Master’s Degree = 2 years plus required years of experience. Where Master’s degrees are required, years for Bachelor’s Degrees must be included.
