As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Memphis, TN

What You'll Do:
  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal and site‑specific security‑related procedures, visitor management practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including medical facility alerts, disturbances, and/or unauthorized persons, and request additional support as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by post assignment.
  • Control access at designated entry points by monitoring for security‑related concerns, checking credentials as required, and directing visitors to appropriate locations in a professional manner.
  • Complete security‑related reports, incident documentation, and shift logs, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
