chartwells higher education dining services invites self‑motivated individuals to serve as director of dining service ii – residential dining at the university of memphis in memphis, tn. In this role you will advise and provide hands‑on support in the day‑to‑day operations and financial success of one or more food service locations on campus, ensuring contract compliance, health regulations, quality standards, and customer satisfaction.
key responsibilities:
- supervise hiring, training, and development of staff.
- maintain client and customer satisfaction by ensuring food quality and service standards are met.
- prepare and complete daily, weekly and financial reports.
- ensure compliance with all quality and food safety standards.
- foster strong client relationships to align programs with their objectives.
- perform other duties as assigned to support efficient functioning of dining service operations.
preferred qualifications:
- associate degree preferred.
- five or more years of operational food service management experience.
- knowledge of food and catering trends with focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, marketing, and presentation.
- strong leadership abilities with validated experience in supervising and developing staff.
- excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
- outstanding customer service skills.
- proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial reports.
- flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- must be experienced with computers.
- servsafe® certified.
