Job Summary

We are hiring immediately for full‑time PREP COOK positions at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, 848 Adams Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee 38103. Online applications accepted only.

Full time;
Monday through Friday, hours may vary. PM shifts, rotating weekends. More details upon interview.

$15.00 per hour to $18.00 per hour.

• Three to four years of prior line cook experience is required.
• Prior healthcare experience is preferred.

• Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef.
• Prepare items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes.
• Complete and follow daily production worksheets and waste log sheets; taste completed meals to ensure quality.
• Operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use.
• Store, label, and date all food items according to policy; follow HACCP guidelines.
• Complete all required documentation, reports, and logs as required.
• Comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
• Takes orders from customers and prepares items requiring short preparation time.
• Serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner.
• Complete orders from steam tables and grill and serve customers at multiple stations.
• Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Resolve customer concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
