Job DescriptionThe Department of Chemical Biology and Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Scientist to lead an automated light‑directed DNA synthesis platform for use in biomedical research and drug discovery.

The ideal candidate will have a background in chemical, biomedical, or electrical engineering, with experience in optics/photolithography and microfluidics. Applications of the platform will involve oligonucleotide synthesis for various functions. Relevant prior experience may include, but is not limited to, microarray technology, microfluidics, optics/microscopy, microfabrication, ink‑jet technology, and surface/materials science.
Additional projects may include high‑throughput screening and printing microarray technology using legacy instruments such as the Quanterix Microarrayers and light‑directed synthesizers.
Minimum Education and/or Training- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific area is required.
- Ten (10) years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree.
- Eight (8) years of relevant work experience with a Master's degree.
- Five (5) years of relevant work experience with a PhD.

CompensationIn recognition of U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is providing a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this senior scientist role: $104,000 – $186,160 per year.
