• Location: Memphis, TN 38104 (Midtown / close to Beale Street and the Mississippi Riverfront)
• Unit: 9 Shorb Ortho (Medical Surgical Orthopedics)
• Role: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN), Orthopedic Nurse, Med/Surg RN
• Contract Type: Travel RN position (travel nursing job)
• Start Date: April 6, 2026
• End Date: July 6, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1800 - $1890
• Openings: 5 positions available

• Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg or Orthopedics RN experience (3+ years preferred)
• Level I Trauma Center experience required (trauma nursing experience preferred)
• At least 1 completed prior travel nursing assignment required
• Large hospital experience required; strong clinical judgment in high-acuity settings
• Active RN licensure in Tennessee or a valid Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted; BSN encouraged
• Orthopedics experience required (post-operative care, mobility protocols, wound care)
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Must live at least 100 miles from facility (local candidates not accepted)
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with application
• Pending licenses not accepted; must be fully compliant with NLC guidelines

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to adult Med/Surg Orthopedics patients during night shift
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status, including post-operative and orthopedic conditions
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and support pain control and early mobility goals
• Perform post-op assessments, wound care, and neurovascular checks for orthopedic patients
• Collaborate in a team-nursing model and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, PT/OT, case management)
• Provide patient and family education on discharge planning, mobility precautions, and recovery expectations
• Float to similar units as needed to support patient care and staffing needs
• Participate in on-call and weekend coverage as required
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and safety protocols
