Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and dedicated Advanced Practice Nurse - Pediatric Certified Nurse Practitioner to collaborate with physicians, lead clinical care teams, and drive evidence-based practice for specialized patient populations. This role combines clinical expertise, education, research, and leadership to deliver high-quality, cost-effective care aligned with MLHs mission.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Practice Expert:
Provide advanced direct/indirect patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and disease prevention.
Perform comprehensive physical exams, interpret diagnostic data, and develop tailored care plans.
Prescribe medications, order tests, and ensure safe patient transitions across care settings.
Education & Staff Development:
Design and implement staff education programs to address patient population needs.
Mentor nursing staff, students, and interdisciplinary teams.
Evidence-Based Consultant & Researcher:
Translate research findings into practice improvements.
Lead quality initiatives and participate in clinical research.
Clinical Leadership:
Serve on committees to advance organizational goals.
Collaborate on patient care delivery innovations.
Professional Accountability:
Maintain licensure, certifications, and engage in continuous professional development.
Required Education & Experience:
Masters degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited program.
Current RN license in the state of employment.
Advanced Practice Nurse licensure/ Pediatric certification (state-specific).
Minimum 3 years of clinical RN experience.
BLS Certification; DEA registration (if required by facility).
Preferred Skills:
National specialty certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
Strong leadership, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to lift 50 lbs, push/pull 250 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
Exposure to body fluids, hazardous materials, and varying temperatures.
Requires standing, walking, bending, and rapid response to emergencies.
