Position Overview:

The Registered Nurse – Cath Lab provides comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.
The RN collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care before, during, and after procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedure nursing care for cardiac catheterization patients
Monitor hemodynamic status and cardiac rhythms during procedures
Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional procedures
Administer medications per protocol and physician orders
Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control standards
Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record
Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and emergencies
Educate patients and families regarding procedures and post-procedure care
Collaborate effectively with cath lab staff, physicians, and ancillary departments

Required Qualifications
Active RN license (Compact or Tennessee) – must be in compliance at time of submission
Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab RN experience
At least 1 completed travel assignment (first-time travelers accepted with this requirement)
2 years of RN experience overall (3 years preferred)
Current BLS (and other unit-required certifications per facility standards)
Driver's license required at time of submission
Ability to work required holidays per facility policy
Must meet all Tier 2 travel compliance requirements

Preferred Qualifications
Cerner EMR experience
Prior experience in Level I Trauma or high-acuity cath lab settings

Education
ADN or BSN accepted
