Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with at least two years of OR and travel experience and an active TN or compact license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Operating Room of a hospital setting

• Day shifts available; typical schedule is either 4x10s (06:45 to 17:15) or 5x8s, totaling 40 hours per week

• On-call required as part of the late team, with details discussed during interview

• Floating may occur between like units or campuses within 20 miles, though this is rare

• Must be willing to work at least two of three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) if they fall during the assignment, or one if only two occur

• Former permanent and internal associates must have a minimum one-year separation before being eligible for travel roles

• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position

• Dress code and scrub requirements will be provided by the facility

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required at the time of consideration

• Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience with previous travel assignment, or 3 years if no prior travel

• At least one completed travel nursing assignment

• Associate's degree in nursing (ADN) or higher accepted

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Cerner EMR experience preferred

• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
