Travel LPN - LPN

American Traveler is seeking an experienced LPN for a Medical Surgical position in a Level I Trauma setting requiring IV certification and recent travel experience.

Job Details

• Work in a short-term acute care, Level I Trauma Center Medical Surgical unit,

• Assignment is for 13 weeks on a 3x12 hour day shift (7:00-19:00); 36 or 48 hour schedules available,

• Patient ratios typically 1:7, with support provided by PCCs, RNs, and a team-based nursing model,

• Requires care for complex acute adult and geriatric patient populations,

• Floating may occur between like units and campuses within a 20-mile radius,

• Uses Cerner EMR, and prior Cerner experience is preferred,

• On-call and weekend shifts required as needed,

Job Requirements

• Active, non-pending LPN or LVN license in compliance with NLC guidelines; license required if applicable,

• IV certification is required,

• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical LPN experience, with 3+ years preferred,

• Prior travel nursing assignment required; first-time travelers must have at least 3 years of relevant recent experience,

• Level I Trauma experience required,

• Large hospital experience required,

• BLS certification required and must remain current throughout assignment,

• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted,

• All time off requests must be included at submission for consideration,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include providing direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a high-acuity environment,

• Collaboration with multidisciplinary team under a team-based nursing approach,

• Holiday coverage is required; must be willing to work at least two out of three major holidays if they fall during the assignment,

• Returning travelers must have been separated from the facility for at least one year,

• Must adhere to strict compliance and documentation standards,

• Will not consider candidates who have been submitted to more than one job or facility within the same network,
