Join Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare as a Patient Care Coordinator (RN) in our Cardiac/Medical Stepdown unit. We are seeking a dedicated nurse to lead our team in providing exceptional patient care.

Our Cardiac and Medical Stepdown Unit specializes in caring for adult patients with cardiac conditions, including open heart surgeries, pre and post-CABG, and pre and post-heart catheterizations with interventions.
As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for patient care outcomes, deploying priorities for clinical quality, service, and Associate development. You will ensure a collaborative plan of care is implemented and assist professional nurses with patient care coordination.
Responsibilities- Makes rounds on patients to ensure care is delivered according to individualized plans.
- Orchestrates patient flow and bed assignments.
- Assists with emergency situations, admissions, and supports staff in direct care activities.
- Troubleshoots patient safety, assessments, and care issues.
- Ensures immediate response to patient and family concerns.
- Serves as primary point of contact for physicians.
- Post-Graduate Certificate or Diploma in Nursing - RN.
- Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing - RN. - 1-3 years of nursing experience, with a minimum of 2 years RN experience.
- Ability to convey information clearly and professionally to patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Assess team members' skills, delegates tasks appropriately, and provides oversight to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Strong knowledge of the Nurse Practice Act and scope of practice for a Registered Nurse.
