Quality Inspector

This role involves using micrometers, calipers, gauges, reading comparators, and interpreting complex blueprints. You will be working with extremely small parts using a microscope at 5x optical zoom consistently throughout the day. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands‑on experience with a variety of parts in different shapes and sizes.

• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and comparators.
• Read and interpret complicated blueprints and specifications.
• Perform quality inspections on a wide variety of parts for over 20 clients.
• Utilize standard measuring and testing devices to ensure quality control.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team and be open to learning.

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in both English and Metric systems.
• Extensive knowledge of standard measuring and testing devices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, dimensions, and tolerances.

• Technical schooling preferred.
• Certified inspector certification preferred.
• Experience with video comparator or vision system is a bonus.

Work in a climate‑controlled medical device shop that is extremely clean and adheres to FDA protocols. The spacious production floor ensures that employees are not working directly next to each other, promoting a comfortable work environment. The facility operates Monday to Thursday from 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM, with potential work on Fridays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MEMPHIS, TN.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
