Inspector 1 – Memphis Holmes Road, TN (3rd Shift)

The Inspector 1 shall be responsible for performing basic visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of products manufactured or assembled in‑house, determining whether or not the product meets specifications, and documenting these decisions. The Roving Inspector 1 shall also be responsible for executing inspections on operators performing a variety of processes on the operations floor.

• Inspect assembled product, semi‑finished product, and finished product per inspection procedures, drawings, and print specifications.
• Utilize attribute and variable measuring equipment/gauges as well as mating parts to determine as‑found/as‑left conditions of product.
• Support the qualification and validation processes for company‑manufactured product.
• Review corresponding product documentation to verify acceptability per specification and QSR requirements.
• Support department and organizational objectives.
• Represent and promote quality standards.
• Inspect operators performing a variety of processes on the operations floor.
• Perform other quality functions as required.
• Train other inspectors on required tasks.
• Understand good manufacturing practices.
• Understand Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and blueprint interpretation.
• Detect nonconformities while performing repetitive inspections.
• Make product judgments against applicable specifications.
• Operate automated inspection equipment, e.g., vision systems and digital comparators.
• Work independently and in a team setting.
• Maintain neat and accurate documentation records.
• Work in a manufacturing and/or clean‑room environment.
• Communicate inspection results clearly.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0+ years of work experience in a related field and/or inspecting product per inspection procedures, drawings, and print specifications using attribute and variable measuring equipment/gauges.
• Predominantly documentation comparison and review.
