Production Operator – AB Mauri North America
Objective – Become fully trained and able to meet all AB Mauri requirements of working safely, efficiently, with an attention to detail. Gain thorough knowledge of manufacturing, packaging, and storage of AB Mauri products.
Key Responsibilities- Follow all food safety and operating procedures, including start‑up, changeovers, shutdown, and safe operation of machinery.
- Check critical control points on all required equipment and report findings.
- Accurately record required information on production/quality documentation.
- Report mechanical malfunctions to management.
- Ensure finished product is properly labeled and marked with an accurate, legible lot code.
- Operate forklifts safely.
- Perform scheduled sanitation of production area (daily, weekly, monthly, annually).
- Maintain a clean work area within the department per sanitation standards.
- Complete all required safety, PPE and documentation forms.
- Keep equipment clean, perform autonomous maintenance as needed.
- Produce quality products meeting production targets and compliance with food safety and quality standards.
- Comply with all local, corporate and HR policies and procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement culture.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Six months to one year related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, fractions, percentages).
- Written and oral English communication skills.
- Certified forklift (stand‑up/sit‑down) and scissor lift.
- Knowledge of SQF, GMP, HACCP, AIB/ASI standards.
- Biochemical process and/or food manufacturing experience.
- Basic PC skills in Word and Excel.
Ability to work 40 hours per week, including scheduled overtime on Saturdays or Sundays as needed. Other duties as assigned.
Working ConditionsRegular duties include standing, walking, sitting, handling, and moving objects or materials. The employee may occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally push/pull/move up to 100 pounds. Job involves exposure to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, allergens, electrical shock, vibration, and cleaning chemicals.
