Job Summary

The Program Coordinator is responsible for supervising staff in designated homes and overseeing service delivery. The role includes assisting administrative staff with training requirements.

Essential Job Functions

  • Supervise staff and schedule shifts
  • Take disciplinary actions as necessary
  • Coordinate services for individuals served
  • Assist in developing and monitoring individualized care plans
  • Interview prospective individuals and families
  • Arrange appointments and meetings
  • Support individuals served, their families, and staff
  • Monitor budgets and expenditures
  • Ensure compliance with policies and regulations
  • Assist in scheduling and documenting training
  • Work flexible hours as needed
  • Conduct staff performance evaluations
  • Participate in hiring staff

Qualifications / Experience / Job Knowledge

  • Prefer a four-year degree or equivalent experience in serving individuals with disabilities or supervisory experience in mental health or related fields
  • At least two years’ experience working with individuals with disabilities
  • Experience supervising staff, managing budgets, and complying with licensing regulations
  • Understanding of administrative procedures and personnel management
  • Knowledge of Medicaid and waiver guidelines
  • Proficiency in Windows 7, Office 2010, and adaptability to learn new software

Physical Requirements

  • Constant movement to coordinate work
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines
  • Move objects up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Exposure to viruses and infectious conditions
  • Maintain alertness and observance during work hours

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Will supervise staff in assigned homes

Special Requirements

  • Patience, tact, and understanding in dealing with individuals and families
  • Creativity in problem-solving and planning
  • Ability to maintain good relationships with staff and external agencies

Must have a good driving record, reliable transportation, pass drug and background checks, and be willing to work some evenings. Extensive travel may be required.

Work Shift : Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4 pm
