Duration: 10 Months
Location: Memphis, TN - (Hybrid - 3days a week)

DescriptionThe Facilities Services Category Manager "FSCM) is responsible for managing strategy, spend, sourcing initiatives, and stakeholder and supplier engagement across the Facilities Services category, including hard and soft services such as:
Maintenance;
Repairs, Cleaning;
Janitorial, Security, Waste Management;
Recycling, Pest Control, Construction Management and other.
The role supports the Global Facilities;
Real Estate Category Team in delivery and execution of category and sourcing strategies, leads sourcing projects, manages supplier performance, commercial and contractual risk, innovation and proactively partnering with key stakeholders.
The position is based in the Memphis, US and reports to the Facilities Services Category Manager. Main stakeholders are based on site in Memphis and expectation is for the FSCM to be located next to them at least three days per week during the term of the assignment.
A key scope of the role is supporting a strategic network optimization program in Memphis which requires Procurement support and leadership to deliver a number of Facilities related and Equipment transfer projects. Projects include wall demolition; building re-construction, office space conversion, roof repairs, relocate 300+ machines between buildings, decommissioning of machines; equipment/asset sales; mechanical and electrical.
Second key scope of the role is to support Facilities Procurement and Contract terminations for a site closure in a separate US location.
In addition to the Memphis network optimization program and site closure activities, the FSCM will also support a strategic initiative in standardization of Facilities hard services across the Americas.
Responsibilities- Deliver and execute sourcing strategies, part of the Facilities Category strategy
- Lead RFP and sourcing activities from requirements through to contract signature
- Follow S&N Procurement Pathway process for all projects
- Collect, analyze, and maintain supplier, supply-market, category, and internal business data relevant to the Facilities category and respective projects
- Communicate and cascade approved Facilities Category strategies to relevant stakeholders.
- Identify key supplier risks within the Facilities Category and agree mitigation actions with business stakeholders.
- Ensure supplier performance risks and issues are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
- Support the development and execution of Facilities Services initiatives and projects aligned to Facilities strategies.
- Ensure Facilities Category projects agreed within the Global Facilities & Real Estate Category Strategy are delivered on time and in line with defined objectives.
- Support the establishment of Facilities Category segmentation and the identification of strategic supplier relationships.
- Implement and maintain consistent KPIs for the Facilities Category.
- Manage selected strategic supplier relationships in line with the agreed supplier segmentation model.
- Proactively support the Smith & Nephew innovation agenda in collaboration with strategic Facilities suppliers, aligned with business objectives.
- Lead the creation, negotiation, execution, and review of major Facilities Category contracts.
- Ensure activities delivered by Regional Implementation teams and GBS Procurement teams align with the overall Facilities & Real Estate Category Strategy.
- Ensure negotiated contracts are clearly communicated to business stakeholders and consistently applied across the organization.
- Monitor compliance with Smith & Nephew Procurement policies, standards, and procedures within the Facilities & Real Estate Categories.
- Ensure internal or external issues within the Facilities & Real Estate Categories are identified, escalated where appropriate, and resolved in a timely manner.
- Bachelor s degree required at a minimum, in fields such as business administration, finance, law or a scientific or technical field.
