Schedule:
8‑10 hour shifts covering 40 hours per week most weeks;
Store open Monday‑Sunday. Shift hours from 9‑6, with rare additional hours for covering a sick colleague. Specific work hours will be discussed during hiring.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Store Manager to oversee daily operations of our self‑storage facility in Memphis, TN. The successful candidate will ensure customer satisfaction (online, over‑the‑phone, in‑person), maximize rental occupancy, and maintain facility performance and cleanliness. You will be measured on retaining and attracting new customers, along with “leading metrics” such as cleanliness and responsiveness.

Responsibilities- Manage daily operations to ensure efficient facility performance.
- Deliver exceptional customer service (online, over‑the‑phone, in‑person) and build strong tenant relationships.
- Oversee leasing, payment processing, and delinquency management.
- Maintain facility cleanliness and security through regular inspections and light cleaning.
- Implement marketing strategies to enhance occupancy and revenue.
- Conduct administrative tasks, including executing leases, auditing inventory, and providing necessary documentation.
- Handle financial tasks such as bank deposits, record‑keeping, and reducing delinquent accounts.
- Coordinate with local vendors to ensure maintenance services are performed in a timely manner.
- Lead and develop the team, fostering a positive work environment.
- Sell storage‑related merchandise and maintain adequate inventory (locks, boxes, etc.).
- High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of customer‑service experience, with supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of the self‑storage industry required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Computer proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, basic Excel, Teams).
- Availability to work at least a few Saturdays and Sundays; schedule flexibility is considered.
- Physical ability to move and restock merchandise up to 50 lbs and to perform customer tours; ability to operate roll‑up doors.
