Operations Manager
The Supervisor, reporting to the Operations Manager, will direct daily warehouse activities applicable to an assigned department. This role will be tasked with ensuring efficient workflow processes, problem solving to ensure operations are executed on time and flawless as per SOP (Standard Operating Procedures), and serving as a liaison between management and subordinates. This role will be onsite located in Memphis, TN.
- Staff, train, evaluate and develop warehouse workers including all new hires
- Provide direct daily supervision of warehouse associates to ensure the safe, clean and efficient operation of the warehouse
- Schedule and track the attendance of warehouse team members based on customer demand. Maintain department work schedules and assignments to ensure efficient operation
- Manage within labor and budget
- Supervise warehouse employees on their daily tasks and responsibilities
- Manage all equipment according to established company policy so that it is utilized in the most efficient manner
- Coordinate all maintenance needs with Maintenance department
- Interact with other department management to deliver superior customer service to our client. Attend all warehouse meetings and weekly Management Staff Meeting
- Ensure that all records/reports are completed on time and are effectively maintained. Review operating goals and standards and monitor achievement. Ensure time and attendance is properly maintained/monitored and approved for payroll
- Support warehouse planning function (Capacity, resources, equipment)
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members
- Implement and maintain efficient warehouse procedures to optimize productivity as per SOP
- Maintain all housekeeping and safety standards
- Monitor and enforce safety regulations and OSHA compliance within the warehouse
Educational Experience:
High School Diploma
Field of Study / Technical Certifications:
Distribution, Supply Chain and/or Transportation
Minimum Years of Experience:
3–5 years related experience preferred
Required PC Skills:
Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Technical Skills:
Supply Chain, Transportation, WMS of High Jump system preferred, AS400
Additional Job Specifications and Required Behaviors- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English (Bilingual Spanish/English skills preferred)

Internal warehouse temperatures can vary from extreme heat to extreme cold dependent on seasonal month;
Moderate to loud constant noise level;
Daily required movements include the ability to stretch/reach with hands and arms;
Must be able to walk the length and width of the warehouse;
Ability to stand for extended periods, kneel, and bend as needed;
May be required to sit at a desk operating an electronic device for prolonged periods;
Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 50 pounds;
Vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust and focus.
