Maintenance Mechanic

Performing production corrective maintenance and preventive maintenance for assembly lines in all buildings.

• Perform safe and efficient conduct of production maintenance operations
• Perform daily tasks as assigned for production support as well as any special project tasks as directed by the maintenance manager
• Responsible for performing maintenance/set up for lines and consistently following proper standard operating procedures and correctly completing needed signature verifications for related paperwork
• Assist management in creating and improving upon procedures that will enhance maintenance efficiency
• Perform proper documentation of completion of preventive maintenance logs and assignments
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and enforce MCP environmental programs

• Excellent reading, math and communication skills
• Able to effectively communication with supervisor, co-workers and other departments
• Understanding of work orders and processes

• 5-8 years’ experience in a manufacturing maintenance setting. With a strong preference given to those candidates with packaging maintenance experience
• Exceptional people and leadership skills
• Background in electromechanical troubleshooting and repair
• Background in pneumatic troubleshooting and repair
• Internal candidates must have a proven track record of attendance and a demonstrable history of an attitude of job ownership and integrity
