Technician, General Facilities Maintenance - Food Equipment

What You’ll Do

Walmart is hiring General Maintenance Technicians! You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance for all commercial equipment to support our Walmart stores. You will develop preventative maintenance schedules and complete assigned PMs in the timeframe outlined, and conduct training for Store Associates on proper care and cleaning of equipment.

• Food Equipment :
  Combi ovens, deli slicers, auto meat cutters, fryers, hot cases, ice makers, pizza ovens, rotisserie ovens, thermoglazers, donut cases, four bowl warmers, bakery ovens, bread slicers, tortilla makers.
• Grease and Oil Systems :
  Oil/water separators, used cooking oil tanks.

• Perform minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment).
• Complete routine maintenance to ensure safety and proper functionality.
• Manage work orders and routine maintenance schedules by completing and providing required written and electronic information (expense vouchers, weekly summaries, work orders, maintenance logs, etc.).

• Have previous experience in maintenance (including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment, etc.).
• Understand the importance of Customer Service and have clear, transparent, and respectful communication.
• Drive personal accountability and use effective time management to achieve commitments.
• Adapt to changing and competing demands using solid judgment to identify priorities.
• Believe in Servant Leadership and can work as a team to achieve goals.

• 3 years’ experience in maintenance.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
• Eligible for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

• Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical trade program, License in related trade in city and/or state where job is located.
• Using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
