Strategic Solutions DATA Engineer

Location: Remote or Hybrid in a CST location

Turn big data into decisive action for some of the world's most complex shippers. As a Strategic Solutions Engineer II
, you'll combine data modeling, business intelligence, and supply chain expertise to help customers optimize parcel and transportation networks. This role sits at the intersection of analytics, technology, and client strategy—delivering insights that directly impact cost, service, and customer experience.

• Translate customer requirements into actionable solutions and analytical roadmaps
• Analyze parcel and supply chain networks to model scenarios that improve cost and service performance
• Build, manage, and enhance customer reporting portfolios using BI and data warehouse concepts
• Interpret complex data sets and convert findings into clear, client-ready recommendations
• Develop business rules for data labeling and GL allocation, ensuring data accuracy and auditability
• Lead customer calls and present insights, partnering cross-functionally with Technology, Contracts, and Account Management teams

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field
• 2+ years of hands‑on SQL experience (advanced query design preferred)
• Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of BI tools and data warehousing
• Strong understanding of transportation and supply chain concepts
• Experience with parcel reporting, cost center applications, network modeling, analytics, and detailed parcel audits
• Ability to translate ambiguous or incomplete data into clear, actionable insights
• Confident communicator comfortable leading customer discussions and presentations
