Key Responsibilities- Prioritize and assign trouble tickets to data center technicians and operators
- Manage the performance of a diverse team of data center operation professionals across different locations
- Develop career paths for employees and update internal tools
- Recruit and train data technicians to ensure appropriate staffing levels
- Ensure effective and efficient day‑to‑day data center operations including queue management, 24/7 shift arrangement, and hardware logistics
- Act as a subject matter expert across all aspects of data center operations
- Ensure all operational KPIs and metrics are being measured and met
- Inspire and guide improvement in team processes, technology innovation, and automation
- Manage large‑scale events (outages) and act as the call leader
- Improve workflows and throughput for data center operations
- Recommend, document, and oversee policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and required SLAs
- Maintain the on‑call schedule, coordinating absences and vacations
- Be passionate about the quality and quantity of services and continuously strive to improve customer experience
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is growing rapidly, and the Data Center Manager role will help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations. The position involves leading teams in hardware and network diagnostics, physical repair, and participation in an on‑call rotation.
Successful candidates will create strategies, mentor people at all levels, sponsor projects, and propose technical solutions. They must be able to work independently and manage their teams effectively, with strong organizational skills and the ability to react quickly.

Basic Qualifications- 4+ years of IT experience or a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent
- 2+ years of people‑management experience
- 2+ years of operations and on‑call support for data center facilities or production facilities
- 2+ years of computer hardware experience, including troubleshooting and repair
- Experience in technical writing in a relevant field
- Certifications such as A+, Net+, Security+, CCNA, LPIC, Linux+, AWS certifications, or CND
- Experience with system‑management tools and client/server environments

The base salary range for this position is 78,400.00 – USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), and comprehensive benefits including health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
